Picked up first penny buried in the dirt at the track. It was beat up but still a find.
Found second penny on cool down walk lap on the walkway in front of the bleachers. This one was in better shape.
Found nothing at the grocery store and can't remeber last time I made a find there.

Had a good couple days.
On Saturday I found 2 pennies at Socal Strongest Man Contest in HB. I was at the beach all day and it was very crowded. Kind of disappointed all I could come back with was $.02.
Sunday, I pulled into Circle K, opened the door, and 2 pennies were laying right in front of me. I quickly picked them up. In the store, I picked up another penny that was laying near the entrance as I entered the store. While paying for my dip, I noticed another penny laying close to the far register. I rushed over, snatched it up, came back to the register, and paid for my purchase.
Tonight, I found $.25 at the laundry mat laying on a table near the entrance. It was a quarter with a dent in it so it would not fit into a machine. The former owner just left the quarter on the table, obviously pissed that it wouldn't fit into the coin slot. The new owner finds a dented quarter just fine for him.
YTD $1.39.

Shutout today even though I looked pretty hard at the parking lot at the office, at the gym, and in the grocery store after the gym.
One thing that has been on my mind- I have not found any bills yet. I cant remember the last time I found any bills so it has to be a while ago.
This is strange as I have always had good luck finding bills and large ones at that.
Perhaps they get swiped up fast because of the recession? Maybe I'm not the only guy walking around staring at the ground.

Good day today. Found a dime in the security line at ATL airport. Picked up another $.01 in the terminal.
Also found a nickel outside my house on the sidewalk.

Took a tour of the Coca Cola Museum in down town Atlanta. Not too exciting. The most interesting exhibit was the tasting room where you can try over 60 local beverages distributed by Coke throughout the world. The rest of the museum was pretty unworthwhile and it cost me $30 for a ticket for myself and Katie.
Found a dime outside as I had a dip and waited for Katie who was buying some junk from the tourist trap that serves as the exit from the place.

Happy St Pat's day!
Yesterday was a financial bonanza as I had a bit of the luck of the Irish!
At the gas station, found $.02. Filling up my tank now only cost me $49.18!
Found another $.02 in the gym locker room.
Finally, found another $.01 in the middle of the cross walk on the way to the bar for a few too many St Patrick's day Guinness pints.
Sadly, did not find any money today.
New total: $.82.
Leaving for a 4 day trip to Atlanta tommorrow. Looking forward to seeing how fertile the coin hunting grounds in ATL will be.

2 dull pennies and 1 semi shiny nickel!
It was dark as I left the track after my run, but with my 20/20 vision, I spotted what looked like a coin as I walked to my car.
After investigating by giving it a little kick, it was a nickel!
I quickly swooped up the treasure.
After surveying the area, the nickel was accompanied by 2 ugly pennies.
$.07!
Add that to the war chest.
$.77 total!

So far, since I started tracking income from my side biz, I have found $.70 starting on that fateful Dec 30 day when I picked up $.29 from the gym parking lot.
